In April
2021, the world's first salad from underground production was harvested in the
Hagerbach Test Gallery. The SCAUT consortium has thus demonstrated that, in
addition to fish production, underground vegetable production is possible under
the prevailing conditions. The harvested salad has been processed and consumed
directly in the tunnel restaurant.
